Red Light on gas tank

I just bought a 95 Savage yesterday and I wanted to know what the red light next the neutral light is. I suppose it is low gas light.

Also, on the fuel on switch there is res, on, and pri, I am guessing it is reserve, primary, and on is both am I correct?
